Since one of our bloggers here at GG released the list for our most anticipated hip-hop albums for summer, it’s only fair that we also release our list for the most anticipated pop albums for all of our mainstream readers. Katy Perry-TBA

Katy Perry has officially announced that she’ll be releasing her sophomore album in just a few short months. Katy discussed all that we know about the album just a few days ago…

‘It’s what I said I wanted earlier. We nailed it: It’s roller-skating! It’s ’90s! It’s Ace of Base! It’s Cyndi Lauper! It’s like all these colors and more. There might be some really cool guest appearances by some cool rappers from the West Coast. I mean, you’ll just have to see, since I’m a California girl, you know. And then some best friends might be appearing. … We’ll see! It’s going to be fun. It’s going to be one of those records that is everybody’s favorite guilty pleasure.’

Collaborations could include Rihanna, Lil’ Wayne, Miley Cyrus and even the Jonas Brothers. True or not, I’m not sure-but we can only hope.

Jack Johnson-To The Sea

Not expected to be released until June 1, this album is already dominating on iTunes with pre-sales. The first single, “You and Your Heart” which is now available for regular purchase on iTunes will have to hold fans over for the next few months. Fans love Jack’s laid-back soft rock and acoustic style of music. He’s had a cult following for the past couple of years now and this crowd only promises to grow with the release of this upcoming album.
