The 1992 classic hip-hop track “T.R.O.Y.” has been at the center of so much drama between legendary producer/rapper Pete Rock and Chicago rapper Lupe Fiasco

DETAILS: And The Saga Continues! Lupe Fiasco Says “T.R.O.Y.” Situation Is NOT Resolved!

After Pete Rock aired Lupe Fiasco out on Twitter for sampling his “T.R.O.Y.” record, Lupe Fiasco and his camp weren’t happy at all.

The two hip-hop heads stated their cases and neither camp was backing down. That is until Lupe and Pete found themselves on the phone together hashing out the miscommunication with over six other people on the line.

After the phone call, Pete Rock felt good about the call and announced to Twitter that he and Lupe were cool again.

Too bad Lupe didn’t feel the same way. Lupe called up Sway In The Morning to tell his side of the story and he was HOT!

Pete Rock decided to officially tell his side of the story to MTV, and Sway got all the exclusive details.

“I was basically contacted by Atlanta records to get my blessing to use troy. I gave them a conditional yes, and I thought I would be involved with Lupe and being in the studio and tweaking the beat. I never heard from the record label again, and then I hear the song on the radio. At that point, my emotions got the best of me and I expressed myself on Twitter. It wasn’t my intentions to hurt Lupe’s career or his producer’s career.”

DETAILS: UH OH! Pete Rock Thinks Lupe Fiasco’s “T.R.O.Y.” Sample Is Wack!

After listening to Lupe’s emotional rant on Sway In The Morning, Pete added:

“It was difficult to talk to him there were a lot of people on the phone. I hit him on his DM on Twitter like ‘hey let’s talk about this man to man one-on-one.’ When he called he was upset and I tried to talk him through that. My intention was to explain to him my rant and try to move past this and get into the studio and do something with him.”

Hopefully, Lupe and Pete will get past this soon and let bygones be bygones.
