Fiona Apple released a new track off her forthcoming album The Idler Wheel is wiser than the Driver of the Screw, and Whipping Cords will serve you more than Ropes will ever do.

NEW MUSIC: Fiona Apple “Every Single Night”

Fiona’s new track “Werewolf” was inspired by a trip Ms. Apple took in San Francisco during Halloween. When she was hanging in San Fran, the screams from people riding on the Trolleys reminded her of werewolves, inspiring her vision for the new single.

“I could liken you to a werewolf/who left me for dead/I admit, I provided a full moon, and I could liken you to a shark/the way you bit off my head/but then again/I was waving around a bleeding open wound,” sings Fiona.
