Heartbreak Hotel, party of one.
Cruise’s attorney, Burt Fields spoke with BBC News on his client’s behalf and says:
“It’s not Tom’s style to do this publicly. He is really sad about what’s happening.”
While the 50 year old actor who just celebrated his birthday last Tuesday, may be in shambles over how things have unfolded, his lawyer seems to be planning a tactful approach.
“Tactically we can’t say where Tom will file a divorce case and if he’ll be seeking joint custody of Suri,”
He goes on defending Tom:
“We are letting ‘the other side’ (Katie and her team), play the media until they wear everyone out and then we’ll have something to say,”
And TMZ proves these divorce tactics are well underway, they report:
Sources very familiar with the situation tell us … there are NO immediate plans for either side to go to court. There will be no court hearing Monday, Tuesday or in the foreseeable future, unless the negotiations fall apart.
Sources tell us the lawyers are negotiating child custody, visitation, child support and a property settlement.
Hopefully the negotiation goes smoothly and the best arrangement is made in regards to the couple’s daughter Suri.
