Kendrick Lamar’s been on a lot of people’s radar since he dropped his acclaimed independent album, Section .80 last summer.

“The Recipe” rapper stopped by The Morning Riot in Chicago to talk about his forthcoming album, his friendship with Cali rapper Game, and of course, his relationship with Lady Gaga.
When asked about Lady Gaga, Kendrick replied:
“That’s a good friend. She reached out to me on Twitter. We come from two different worlds- musically. She’s a fan of hip-hop. She says my sound is refreshing, which was what attracted her to it. She’s good people.”

Kendrick also dished about his forthcoming album good kid, m.A.A.d. city. Kendrick revealed his forthcoming album won’t have a lot of features and that there will be an element of surprise on m.A.A.d. city.
good kid, m.A.A.d city is expected to hit store shelves October 2.
