Trayvon’s family said the following:

“While it was an unfortunate mistake that the autopsy photographs of our son were released we appreciate the media and the public for not reproducing or publishing the photographs.”

The initial evidence released wasn’t supposed to be made public.

The new documents released yesterday included a grainy photo of Trayvon’s body, Zimmerman’s academic records from high school, Seminole State College, and his application for the Seminole County sheriff’s Citizens Law Enforcement Academy.

Many news outlets decided not to show the photo of Trayvon’s body, including GlobalGrind.

Zimmerman is facing a second-degree murder charge and is currently free on $1 million bail.
