This is the NEW AMERICA. This is the America Barack Obama spoke of. This is the America of when hip-hop meets pop. Now, we have HIP-POP.
Kings of Leon, coming off of their smash album Only By The Night, which produced the super duper smash, Sex On Fire and Use Somebody, have released their first video for new single, Radioactive, off of their upcoming album, Come Around Sundown.
The family band, consisting of three brothers and their cousin, hailing from Franklin Tennessee, have made a magical video for Radioactive. The sense of happiness it gives makes you want to re-live the summer and dance all night long. The backing vocals by a vibrant and beautiful youth choir make the video all the more special.
‘I think after my grandma sees this video, she definitely doesn’t think we’re going to Hell as fast as she did think we were going,’ drummer Nathan Followill said in recent teaser filmed on the set of their music video.
The new America mixing gospel, blues and rock has deep meaning to the band. ‘Gospel music was a big part of us growing up, so to be able to come back and revisit that part of our lives at this stage in our lives is a pretty special thing,’ Nathan added.
