ScHoolBoy Q comes to the defense of his Black Hippy Crew brother Kendrick Lamar

NEW MUSIC: Kendrick Lamar “The Jig Is Up (Dump ‘N)”

Kendrick Lamar’s major label debut, good kid, m.A.A.d. city landed at the number two spot on Billboard with 242,122 copies sold in the first week. And in typical hip-hop fashion, when one is celebrating their success, someone else is hating on it.

Shortly after Kendrick’s release, rapper Shyne got on Twitter and called Kendrick’s major label debut “trash.”

Kendrick addressed Shyne with a couple of jokes on his new J.Cole-produced track “The Jig Is Up (Dump)” rapping:

“Ya’ll pray to God this week I be putting up bombs/I pray to God this beat is good enough for Shyne (laughs), if not J.Cole, you’re shit is trash, well at least my opinion just made everyone laugh.”

During an exclusive interview with 2DopeBoyz, ScHoolBoy Q weighed in on Shyne’s not-so-nice comments about his “brother” Kendrick Lamar’s new album, stating:

“Kendrick the only one that really made it between us. He dropped that debut, sold a bunch of records, got corny n*ggas like Shyne hating on him. I used to listen to that n*gga in the 9th grade. Got old niggas hating…I’ma keep it real that n*gga is weak. He’s weak and nobody cares. He can’t come back, good for him. Become Jewish and do what you gotta do. I don’t care man, my n*ggas is moving units. You can feel like it’s trash if you want to, but my homie is moving units. What is your homie doing? What are you doing? I could care less. I don’t even want to talk about it. Shame on that n*gga.”

Well, there you have it. The Black Hippy Crew isn’t feeling Shyne’s comments, but they aren’t worried about him either.
