In PETA’s ongoing pursuit to convince the world at large to stop wearing fur, they have settled on a new target. This time around, Lady Gaga endured the wrath of the animal advocacy group. PETA is speaking out on Lady Gaga’s fur-filled shopping spree during her time in Russia.

Apparently the 26-year-old-singer purchased a sable coat worth about $210,000 and a silver fox coat worth around $19,600 at the Helen Yarmak store in Moscow, and once PETA caught wind of it, they took it upon themselves to contact Gossip Cop:
“Out of place, out of time, and possibly out of her mind: While the country focuses on rejecting violence and we are deep into the season of peace, giving, and kindness, Gaga is busy decking herself out in a coat made of at least 30 slaughtered animals’ skins.”
Lady Gaga didn’t seem to be phased by PETA’s public outcry and responded by simply saying:
“You see a carcass, I see a museum piece de resistance.”

PETA recently called Gaga a “turncoat” for telling Ellen Degeneres she didn’t wear fur, and then being seen wearing it during public appearances, so it’s unlikely that this ongoing battle will stop anytime soon.
