After congressional leaders met with President Barack Obama today about the looming fiscal cliff, Senate leaders announced more last minute bipartisan talks on how to fix the problem.

In a statement made this evening, Obama said that he and congressional leaders had constructive talks about how to dodge the fiscal cliff and that he’s optimistic a deal will be made before the new year.

“The hour for immediate action is here. It is now,” he said. 

Obama says if Republicans and Democrats in Senate cannot reach deal, he will ask for vote on his ‘fiscal cliff’ plan. Obama was visibly and vocally frustrated at partisan politics that trouble the Fiscal Cliff deals. It’s now or never…
