KAWS may have kept our appetite for his coveted companion figures quenched with the release of Astroboy and Woodstock, but his next companion may not make many fans very happy.

Although KAWS is a Brooklyn-based artist, he has yet to open a store Stateside, forcing some of his die-hard fans to go above and beyond to get many new releases. Some of you may remember that the last Storm Trooper and Darth Vader Star Wars-inspired companions were also only available in Japan, which leads us to wonder, what is the hesitation with the Star Wars companions in the US?

All of the other companions that get released Stateside are available worldwide, but the Star Wars editions are always made exclusive to Japan!

If you happen to be in Japan later this month, the Boba Fett KAWS companion is being released as an OriginalFake Tokyo exclusive on January 26. Start planning your trips now.
