More than 80 days after Superstorm Sandy hit the East Coast, the House finally approved the $50.7 billion measure that will aid victims displaced by the hurricane.

DETAILS: Picking Up The Pieces! House Of Representatives Finally Votes On Superstorm Sandy Relief Bill

Earlier this month, the House passed a partial bill of about $9 billion.

Despite conservative opposition, the measure passed with the majority of votes from GOP and Democrats and will be sent to the Senate next Tuesday.

An amendment to the relief package introduced by Tea Party-allied conservatives requiring across-the-board cuts to defense and domestic programs to pay for $17 billion of storm aid was supported by a majority of Republicans, but was defeated 258-162 with a combination of GOP and Democratic votes. The full $51 billion relief bill passed the House 241-180, with 179 Republicans opposed.
