Today we had the chance to check out Duckie Brown’s Fall/Winter 2013 collection during Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week and we were blown away.

The pieces were meticulously put together and flowed nicely as a collection, but we definitely noticed that there was an oversized theme happening throughout. Although the models would have on fitted coats, it was their undergarments that were elongated and oversized. The look was a bit different and a bit reminiscent of a skirt without wearing an actual skirt.

The coat selection was the best part of the show. Consisting mainly of overcoats, some of which came down the runway backwards, each one had its own special characteristic. From the hidden pop of colors under the arm, to the one floor-length coat that came down the runway, the fall will be a very strong season for Duckie Brown. Check out some of the pictures from the show in the gallery above.

Trends spotted: Oversized everything, fitted top pieces and longer undergarments, pop-color piecing

Our rating: We love this! It may take a little time for people to get used to the oversized pieces, but the pop of color to fall will be a welcome trend.

Our favorite look: The white overcoat with the vertical black stripe on the sleeves and double-breasted buttons was everything.
