Last night’s red carpet chatter at the 85th Annual Oscars was all about what the stars were wearing, who was winning and of course, Ben Affleck’s beard and Jennifer Lawrence’s fall. But now we are taking a closer look at what brings the look all together: The makeup.

We selected some of our standout makeup stars of the night, including Solange and Kim Kardashian, who went for a look with a little lip color fun, and Adele and Halle, who played up the eyes with their looks.

After rounding up photos of the beauties, we consulted with our resident beauty expert and professional makeup artist Myrna Daher to give us a few tips and tricks on how to perfect some of our favorite red carpet makeup looks from the Grammy Awards.

Check out what Myrna had to say about the red carpet looks from last night.

“The Oscars is where you bring your A game, from the dress to accessories, and all the way to the hair and most importantly, the makeup! If your makeup does NOT correlate, then it will be discussed! And today we are zeroing in on the looks of Halle Berry, baby-bumping Kim Kardashian, Adele and Solange. Follow these tips and tricks below, straight to the beauty counter to get their Oscars look.”

Solange:

Gorgeous just like Beyonce, Solange hit the Vanity Fair Oscars after party and it was all about her matte lips and defined brows. ‘Grandma,’ a classic coral from Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics, will most certainly do the trick to get a look like Solange’s. Make sure you have my favorite brow pencil to get perfectly shaped and defined brows from Kevyn Aucoin. Use OCC (Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics) metallic glitter in ‘Beige’ for a true neutral with colors that photograph beautifully.

When it comes to replicating her eye makeup, do a tight eyeliner only on the top and let those thick gorgeous brows and bright matte lip do the talking! Finish off with your favorite foundation to cover up impurities and score this award-winning look with a fashion forward matte lip.

Adele:

Adele’s adorable accent and humble personality makes me so excited to see her each time she hits the red carpet! Her vibe is so old Hollywood and her look is beyond appealing. Red lips are always a winner for me and her ivory skin tone gives it an extra bang.

You can replicate her lips with ‘Russian Red’ from MAC cosmetics, which gives an intense bluish-red that holds not only color, but texture that is red carpet ready.

While her lips made us take note, her lashes are what took center stage. I could not stop looking at her lashes and half-lined bottom lashes! Replicate her look by using the famous Shu Uemura false eyelashes in ‘Smoky layers.’ Finish the eyes by applying the Laura Mercier Creme Eye Liner in ‘Noir’ with a fine point angled brush.

Control the thickness along the top lid for the perfectly lined inner corner and half lined bottom lash line. Carve the crease with a camel tone color and use natural tones just to blend the look.

Adele knew she was going to let the sky fall and Kevyn Aucoin’s ‘Liquid Airbrush foundation’ is camera-ready! Finish the look by using soft contours and natural blush from Nars in ‘Dolce Vita’ for a matte dusty rose color.

Kim Kardashian:

Kim K always brings it. The sophisticated pop with lashes and a berry lip was where it was at for Kim as she hit up Elton John’s Oscar viewing party last night. Her lashes were all she needed and Shu Uemura’s ‘Black velvet feather’ false eyelashes will do the trick to get it, just add a tight-line in black on the top to connect and finish the look. Add a little inner corner gold-like shimmer for a touch of glimmer to brighten up the eyes.

Get the same lip texture as Kim by using the Creme Smooth lip from Laura Mercier in ‘Deco Rouge’ and add the shimmer on the lips from Chanel’s Glossimer in ‘Surprise.’ Define the lips with a waterproof lip color stick from Chanel’s Aqua crayon collection in ‘Rosey’ for the perfect shape.

For foundation use ‘Sheer Glow’ by Nars for a glowing, satin-finish that has build-able coverage and a luminous finish. Do the famous Kim highlight and contour for definition and radiance and add bronzer and soft skin-tone blush color. Define brows with nothing but the best: Kevyn Aucoin’s brow pencil.

Halle Berry:

Her divine beauty always does it for me! To recreate this, use Burberry’s ‘Velvet Foundation’, this will give you the heavenly look Halle is known for. Set it with Face Atelier setting powder and use their ‘Brazilian Blaze’ bronzer. Then finish if off with a blush in Burberry’s Light Glow collection in ‘Misty’ for the flawless look she is rocking. Cover the lips in Burberry’s soft satin collection, use ‘Nude Beige’ and line the lips for definition with ‘Sand’ from Face Atelier. With natural brows and lashes, Berry still brought all attention to her eyes! The tight-line on the top lash-line and skin-toned color on her brow bone. This gave the shimmer covering her lid a POP! To achieve this, use Laura Mercier Creme Eye Liner in ‘Noir’ and MAC’s loose pigment shadow in ‘Tan’ for the muted pinky brown bronze.
