Newark Mayor Cory Booker saved the day again, when a New York lawyer asked via Twitter if the politician could help him pop the question to his girlfriend.
Less than 24 hours before the proposal, Israel Burns sent a tweet to Booker, which he responded to after 10 minutes.
Burns said he couldn’t believe it!
The two compared schedules and decided that Booker would call Misha Wright, Burn’s girlfriend, at the Asian American Bar Association of New York’s annual dinner in Manhattan. Awww alert…it’s where the two had met last year.

But Wright was suspicious. She initially ignored Booker’s phone call, thinking it was a prank. But he called back.
“Hi, this is Cory Booker,” he said, instructing Wright to go upstairs where Burns was with champagne, a poem and a ring in tow.
Obviously, Wright, who is also a lawyer, said yes!
Booker then congratulated the couple via Twitter, where it all started.
