Steve Madden, we’re pretty sure she is talking to you with this one.

Isabel Marant’s name became well known among celebrity fashion enthusiasts when Beyonce was spotted rocking her hidden wedge sneakers the first time she stepped out with baby Blue Ivy Carter.

Since then, the shoes have been seen on every single who’s-who of the fashion world, and of course, influenced a slew of other lower-end brands to follow the design of the hidden wedge heel.

Well according to Isabel’s latest interview in the Telegraph, she doesn’t quite think imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!

“Everybody who has the wrong one looks quite bitchy, very vulgar, when mine are not at all. As soon as you have an idea it’s copied and you don’t like it in a minute.”

We’re pretty sure Marant was still a fan of the idea when the original saw a spike in sales! The idea of making low-price fashion pieces more attainable to the masses doesn’t quite offend us, but we also aren’t absolutely positive that calling shoes “bitchy” is offensive.
