To say yesterday was a hard day is a reeling understatement.

The world watched as two explosions ripped through the area near the finish line of the popular Boston Marathon yesterday shortly before 2 p.m. More than a hundred people were hurt, three were killed and one of the proudest Boston residents, Mark Wahlberg, watched in sadness at his hometown tragedy.

Just hours after the blast, the actor took the red carpet at the Cinema Society and Men’s Fitness screening of his new film Pain and Gain at Crosby Street Hotel in New York City, and when asked about the blast, told USA Today reporters:

“I really didn’t even want to come tonight. I hadn’t really heard much — I spoke to my mom, and most of my family seems to be OK. It’s such a big event, there’s so many people there. It’s horrible man. It’s fucking disgusting, man. I just – I’m very upset. You try to put everything in God’s hands and whatever happens here is out of our control and there’s a bigger picture. But it’s still obviously upsetting.”

Also on the scene were famed photographer Terry Richardson, NY Giant Victor Cruz, and Queens native rapper 50 Cent.
