Apple CEO Tim Cook said during the company’s March quarter earnings call, that their competitors have made far too many tradeoffs in order to deliver a larger display screen.

At the time, Apple analysts took this to mean that Apple is not interested in making an iPhone with a larger display.

Now, the latest news is that perhaps Cook only meant to ward off expectations for the upcoming iPhone 5S launch this year.

According to a new report, it seems that Apple has found a way to fit a larger display into the iPhone 6, without sacrificing device capabilities.

In the meantime, the Financial Post reports that the iPhone 5S will feature new color options, an upgraded processor, an upgraded camera, and maybe even a fingerprint scanner. The launch was originally scheduled in time for the summer, but has since been pushed back to the fall due to some internal delays.

Stay tuned for more news on the iPhone 6, set to launch June 2014.
