Chicago rap isn’t just Chief Keef and the drill sound that he brought to the mainstream. No. There are tons of Chi-town-based rappers making noise out there, many who have a softer edge and image.
One of our favorite Chicago rappers is Chance The Rapper, who just dropped his highly anticipated Acid Rap mixtape. The tape is 13 songs of soulful goodness.
Appearing on the tape with Chance is singer BJ The Chicago Kid and notable rappers like Action Bronson, Childish Gambino and Ab-Soul.
(You’ll hear for yourself, but Chance more than holds his own lyrically with all of these dudes.)
