Late last year, Philadelphia-based rapper Gilbere Forte dropped “Pray,” a track which sampled Fiona Apple’s “Every Single Night” song. Now the rapper is back with the second release off of his upcoming project, which is also called PRAY.
This new track is called “Nolita” and it features Active Child. In “Nolita” Gilbere tells a wonderful story about a long lost love.
If you thought “Pray” was dark, it’s nothing compared to “Nolita,” which features a dark beat and these haunting vocals by Active Child on the hook.
We won’t lie to you, pals: the boy Gilbere Forte is 2-0. We can’t wait to hear PRAY, which drops on May 15.
