You know the old adage, “things get better with time,” and when it comes to The Fast and the Furious franchise, that quote couldn’t be any more precise. It’s been a long road since audiences were captivated by the on-screen action in the first 2001 installment of the film, and with the sixth film rolling out in theaters this weekend, now is the perfect opportunity to take a look back at how The Fast and the Furious franchise has molded the careers of their biggest stars.

Ludacris:

No stranger to the radio as both a host and a rapper, the transition to the silver screen was a no-brainer for the ATL native’s career. Since then, Luda’s resume brought him to films such as No Strings Attached, New Year’s Eve and of course, one more round at the rodeo with the latest installment of Fast & Furious 6. Not bad for someone who started out as a voice on the radio.

Vin Diesel:

Where do we even start with this one? Vin Diesel, who some may know as Dominic Toretto, had a lucrative career prior to The Fast and the Furious franchise, but it’s safe to say that his lead involvement in the fast cars and racy story lines are what have made him a household name. Vin’s acting career has since brought him nearly a dozen movie roles, and we expect his career to continue its growth.

Michelle Rodriguez:

When this Texas-born beauty is on the screen, she uniformly provides two things: Beauty and grit, and that is something that just can’t be matched. Since playing the role in Fast and the Furious, Michelle has seen roles on shows like Lost and the blockbuster Avatar, while staying true to her tough girl roots.

Paul Walker:

When Paul isn’t the face of The Fast and the Furious, he is well known for his 1999 role in the hit film Varsity Blues. Since the Fast film series, he has continued his career with leading roles in films such as Joy RideInto the Blue, and Timeline, but always finds his way back to star alongside Vin Diesel.
