After the devastating damage caused by Hurricane Sandy this past fall, the Jersey Shore crumbled into a frame of what it once was. Both the infamous boardwalk and miles and miles of beach were destroyed, but today, we worry no more!
New Jersey Governor [and recent weight loss champ] Chris Christie used a ginormous pair of scissors to cut a five-mile-long blue ribbon to officially kick off Memorial Day Weekend and the re-opening of the shore.
And, what would the Jersey Shore reopening be without the cast of Jersey Shore?
It wouldn’t, so they were there too, but minus The Situation.
Snooki’s interaction with Chris Christie reportedly went like this:
Snooki: “Can I ask you something?”
Gov: “You can ask me anything.”
Snooki: “Why do you hate us?”
Vinny + Pauly D’s bromance was rekindled
Gov. Christie had some laughs
Shook peoples’ hands and held a blue lunch bag
Let GTL season begin. Yeahhhhh buddy!
