It’s the story too insane to be true.
But for Toronto Mayor Rob Ford, with his sketchy history and the recent crack-smoking scandal, it’s all just a day in the life.
And now the blunt, always drunk, IDGAF, conservative Canadian politician has gotten himself into a whole other set of issues aside from smoking crack on tape. Just this week it was revealed that a man in the infamous video that no one has seen was killed and two suspects were arrested for the crime…and it must be noted that he was reportedly killed over that highly-media-coveted video.
But before we get into all of that and you think we’re beating up on a man who may or may not have smoked a little crack (and got someone killed), you should know that Ford didn’t just end up here. His past is riddled with WTF stories that will make you wonder how he even became the mayor at all!

Rob Ford Might Be A Racist
– How does Ford really feel about Asians? Well, in 2008 he said this: “Those Oriental people work like dogs. They’re slowly taking over.” Oh.
– And back in 2006, he called Councillor George Mammoliti a “Gino-boy.” Which obviously was a racial slur.
And He Loves Being Discriminative…(and apparently drunk)
– He apparently hates women…and loves calling them bitches.
– And in 2001, he refused to fund a video about homosexuality: “I have no problem giving money out to physically or mentally handicapped children or seniors, but spending $5,000 on this video is disgusting, it is absolutely disgusting to spend this amount of money on this, whatever it was called, video.”
– He also believes only gay people can contract AIDS: “If you are not doing needles and you are not gay, you wouldn’t get AIDS probably, that’s bottom line…those are the facts.“
– And…this man really hates bikes. But that’s just evident from his physical appearance. Not sure we needed this quote to tell us: “What I compare bike lanes to is swimming with the sharks. Sooner or later you’re going to get bitten… Roads are built for buses, cars, and trucks, not for people on bikes. My heart bleeds for them when I hear someone gets killed, but it’s their own fault at the end of the day.”
– He was once pissed about grant programs that supported transgendered and transexuals: “I don’t understand. No. 1, I don’t understand a transgender, I don’t understand, is it a guy dressed up like a girl or a girl dressed up like a guy? And we’re funding this for, I don’t know, what does it say here? We’re giving them $3,210?“
Drugs, Drugs…and More Drugs
– In 1999, Ford was charged with marijuana possession. At the time, he was also driving under the influence. That charge was later dropped.
– In 2010, he was recorded on a phone call asking what the price of OxyContin was. As if he was going to go pick some up…which he obviously denied.
– Just as recently as March of 2013, Ford was asked to leave a military gala because he was too drunk. Good job mayor.
And…He’s Actually Pretty Violent

– He tried to fight this reporter for calling him a “fat fuck.”
– And back in 2006, his drunk ass is removed from a Maple Leafs game after asking a man’s wife who had asked him to simmer down if she wanted to go “over to Iran and get raped or shot.” He later apologized.
– Two years after that, Ford’s wife Renata called police after he assaulted her and verbalized a death threat. The charges were dropped because Renata’s account of the assault was inconsistent.
And He’s Kind Of A Corrupt Politician…
– In 2012, Ford is expelled from office after he illegally voted to clear himself of improperly soliciting donations to his football charity. He asked the Toronto city council to excuse him from repaying $3,000 in donations from lobbyists for his football charity.
– But get this…a judge ruled that Ford obviously breached the law. He appealed and the Ontario Divisional Court overturned the decision.
And as we know, Ford is still the mayor of Toronto. But now, he’s also the guy that everyone wants to expose for his newest drug use scandal.
And as much as we all want to know the truth, I’m not sure it will happen.
He’s gotten away with all of this so long, it seems like he knows just the right people to help him out.
