Last night June 3, at the Hammerstein Ballroom, VH1 held the “2010 VH1 Hip-Hop Honors: The Dirty South,” hosted by comedian Craig Robinson.

The celebration premiers this Monday, June 7 at 9PM ET/PT on VH1. This year’s event has a dirty twist to it; it’s the first time in VH1 Hip-Hop Honors history they are honoring an entire region.

Master P, Luther Campbell, J. Prince, Timbarland, Jermaine Dupri, The 2 Live Crew and Organized Noize are all being honored with dope performances by Gucci Mane, Romeo, Silkk the Shocker, Trina, Bun B, Drake, Juvenile, Missy Elliott, Keri Hilson, Bow Wow, Dem Franchize Boyz, Diddy, Trick Daddy, Rick Ross, DJ Drama, Lil Jon, Fabolous, Mystikal and much more.

For those who couldn’t make it out, but will be tuning in via the comfort of their own homes and televisions, here are five moments to be on the lookout for.

1. Romeo honoring his father Master P, with help from his uncle Silkk the Shocker, Gucci Mane and Mystikal. Before Romeo and Mystikal performed “Make Em Say Ugh,” Romeo gave a great speech honoring his father. During his speech, Romeo spoke about the charity work that he and his father are doing for the youth and community. Gucci Mane performed “I Missed My Homies,” Silkk the Shocker performed “That’s Cool,” surprising the crowd by bringing out Trina. Master P closed out his segment by bringing the whole Calliope Project’s on stage with him and giving a brief speech on how he made it from the projects to being one of the most respected entrepreneurs.

2. Uncle Luke brings Miami to New York City. Uncle Luke brought out the strippers and dancers along with Trick Daddy and Pitbull to help him perform “I Wanna Rock (Doo Doo Brown)” and a few other hits. Uncle Luke had the crowd feeling like they were in Miami at a strip club. Trick Daddy was throwing dollars bills at the dancers and strippers onstage.

3. Bun B and Missy Elliott honoring Timbaland. Bun B peformed ‘Big Pimpin’ and had the crowd rapping every word to his verse. Missy gave a great speech, which she dedicated to Timbaland. She also performed “Work It” and “Get Ur Freak On.”
