Things got real this week when Congress decided to stop bullsh*tting and work out a deal that would keep us off the fiscal cliff. While most Republicans weren’t happy with the bill, they signed it anyway to keep the nation from the brink of a recession. But House Speaker John Boehner wasn’t going down without a fight.
According to Politico, Boehner verbally attacked Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid in the White House lobby last Friday after Reid publicly accused him of running a “dictatorship” in the House and caring more about his own power and agenda than striking a deal.
“Go f— yourself,” Boehner sniped as he pointed his finger at Reid, according to multiple sources present.
Reid, a bit startled, replied: “What are you talking about?”
Boehner repeated: “Go f— yourself.”

The “F” bomb was dropped just feet away from the Oval Office. Politico reports that Boehner later bragged about his exchange to fellow Republicans.

While an “F” bomb isn’t necessarily shocking, Republicans and Democrats still should know how to conduct themselves in public, let alone the White House. Now on the school yard, that’s a different story. But they also aren’t immature children picking fights. Or are they?
