The baby and her father were shot multiple times in Chicago’s Woodlawn neighborhood on Monday afternoon. The baby was shot in the shoulder, with the bullet lodging in her left thigh, police told the Tribune. Her father was shot in the left side, right buttocks and suffered a graze wound to his left cheek.

According to DNAinfo Chicago, both the baby and her father are believed to be victims of a drive-by shooting. They were taken to area hospitals and are in serious-to-critical condition.

A DNAinfo report identified the female infant as Johnylah Watkins. The male victim, according to the Tribune, is Jonathan Watkins, the baby’s father

Jonathan Watkins, according to the Chicago Sun-Times, was changing his baby’s diaper in the front passenger seat of a Chevy Venture minivan, just minutes after visiting the girl’s grandmother, when a gunman approached them and opened fire.
