Gaining weight may be easy enough, but losing it is definitely a big challenge.

Rob Kardashian has been spotted in the beginning of 2013 with a little more weight on him than ever before, but he’s determined to change all of that.

Over the last month, the reality star has been showing off his path to weight loss via Twitter and Instagram, and he’s not stopping until he reaches his goal.

Rob recently celebrated his birthday at 1OAK in Las Vegas, and he spoke with Us Weekly about his journey to shed the pounds.

He told the site:

“I lost 5 to 7 [pounds] last week. I’m trying to lose 40,” he revealed. “It’s a little journey, but it’s good… I’m like 240 right now, probably 235.”

He also told the site that he has about 40 pounds to go before reaching his weight loss goal.

Rob gained most of his weight by eating “a lot of great food” in the last year, but he mentioned that his motivation to lose the weight was “beautiful women!”

So what is Rob doing to lose the weight? He told the site:

“We go to do Runyon Canyon in L.A.,” he explained. “I’ll [exercise with] my own trainer at eight in the morning before all that.”
