Amid fears that the annual White House Easter Egg Roll would be canceled due to the sequester aftermath, the event went off without a hitch on Monday and was full of all the things we love; eggs, bunnies, candy and of course, President Barack Obama tapping into his inner child.

What’s the matter!? President Obama kneels down to console this kid who is upset for reasons we’re not sure of. Maybe he lost the egg roll race? Didn’t get to take his daily nap? Scared of the Easter Bunny. No, but seriously that last reason is super legit.
Ready Set? Go! Kids decked out in their Easter best ran down the White House lawn with the help of the president and FLOTUS, Michelle Obama. Her message to the kids before the roll started? “Kids, eat your vegetables!” How else would they be able to sprint like that!
