And he’s out!

Things aren’t looking good for Alex Rodriguez, as the MLB is fully prepared to ban the star athlete for life for using performance-enhancing drugs. Commissioner Bud Selig may dole out a lifetime suspension to the New York Yankees third baseman.

In an interview, former Commissioner Fay Vincent declared, “I hope he does it. It’s right for baseball. The harder he comes down, the better it is for baseball.”

However A-Rod’s attorney, David Cornwell, said that his client will appeal any suspensions that the MLB places on him – no matter how high or low the severity is.

A-Rod isn’t the only player getting punished by the MLB; eight others will be banned too. But these eight will be receiving 50 game suspensions instead.

Twenty players were linked to a Miami clinic called Biogenesis, which is known for supplying performance-enhancement drugs to many athletes. However, some players were not punished because there was a lack of evidence against them.

No such luck for ARod.
