Naya Rivera may be calling all of Big Sean’s ex-girlfriends out on her new single “Sorry,” but let’s get one thing clear: Big Sean thinks very highly of his high school sweetheart Ashley.
Necole Bitchie got the chance to sit down with one of hip-hop’s most popular emcees, and during their chat, he talked all about what makes his new girl Naya so special and what broke him and his ex up.
It turns out, fate placed them on two different coasts and their relationship became too difficult to maintain. Still, Big Sean credits Ashley for his current success:
No matter what, I got love for her and I’m pretty sure she has love for me. That’s always going to be there and that’s why I made sure I kept that song on this album after I did it and after we broke up. She deserves a beautiful song for her because without her, I wouldn’t be where I am period. She deserves 10 songs like that honestly.
