This has certainly been the week of Gaga and it’s not quite through yet.

After a short hiatus, Mother Monster burst back onto the scene better then ever as she preps for her ARTPOP release. This week alone, we’ve viewed Gaga’s larger than life fashion persona as shown through her various costumes.

Starting off with her Sunday MTV VMA ensemble, red carpet Gaga appeared demure, sporting an all black Prabal Gurung gown adorned with an oversized bow and polka-dot chiffon train. Her arrival led us to believe that this may be Lady G’s way of prepping us for the calm before the fashion storm. And we were right.

On stage she effortlessly switched through costumes, imitating art, while dancing and belting out those “Applause” lyrics with all her heart, ultimately providing us with one of the best performances of the night. Gaga ended her passion-filled set by stripping down to a seashell bikini. But nothing prepared us for the glittery ending behind her mermaid look.

And then she perched her bare golden ass on the Barclays seats as she enjoyed the remainder of the VMAs. Quite the ending.

Following the show, Gaga was up to more fashion antics – this time across the pond as she headed to a London restaurant – appropriately named The Seashell. On Tuesday, the songstress was spotted boldly rocking a dark latex unitard while exposing her lacy-pink DKNY bra.

As for her tresses, she sported a Pebbles-inspired style atop her blonde mane, alongside a collection of seashells. And for added volume she donned some interesting ARTPOP inspired artwork on her hands.

On Wednesday, Gaga was spotted exiting her London hotel, sporting a toned-down grey Vivienne Westwood tailored skirt-suit with nude Casadei pumps, and from the neck down the ensemble read conservative. However her Jack Sparrow pirate hat and similar seashell mane allowed Gaga to not be out of rare eclectic fashion form.

As for Thursday, it gets a tad better. Spied again exiting her London hotel, Gaga channeled a hippie circa the 1960s as the inspiration for this groovy ‘fit. The ensemble is courtesy of the Atelier Versace Fall 2013 collection. The bra sported inside of the buttoned blazer is the same lacy Versace bra worn on the inside of Selena Gomez’s VMA outfit.

Gotta love Gaga and her fashion antics.

This week may be over, but we’re sure Mother Monster will be surfacing in more eclectic duds for the Holiday weekend.
