Nowadays, most rappers don’t even go Gold, let alone platinum. But Jay Z isn’t most rappers. He is the guy in hip-hop. Which means he moves major units.

Jay Z’s latest album Magna Carta… Holy Grail was just certified double platinum. The

RIAA announced the achievement on their Facebook page:

Magna Carta is the eighth Jay Z album to sell at least two million copies.

Now, some might put an asterisk here, considering that one million copies of this new album were purchased by Samsung before the thing even dropped.

But only haters use asterisks.

So ask yourself this: do you wanna be a hater?

Looks like hip-hop fans will need to cop tickets for not only Jay Z’s new tour, but also Kanye’s “Yeezus” tour with Kendrick Lamar.  Tickets for Jay Z’s “Magna Carter” tour go on sale Thursday, September 12 and tickets for Kanye’s “Yeezus” tour go on sale Friday, September 13.
