Who is the woman behind the Zimmerman divorce…and possibly their now infamous domestic dispute?
We already told you that she was Zimmerman’s ex-fiancee, but a MailOnline exclusive reveals she’s Veronica Zuazo, a 31-year-old beautician who once filed a restraining order against Zimmerman.
According to MailOnline:
In August 2005 Zuazo filed a civil motion for a restraining order in Orange County claiming domestic violence. She stated that Zimmerman had trailed her round her neighborhood, checking up on her, and in the dispute that followed her dog bit him.
Zimmerman responded with claims that she was the aggressor and that she scratched and clawed him.
The woman, who just divorced another man three years ago, was said to be with Zimmerman during the domestic dispute that might land both Shellie and George in jail.
According to close friend and confidante John Donnelly, who has known Zimmerman for close to a decade and regarded him as a son: “Shellie had her suspicions that George was having an affair with his ex-fiancée and that it flared up after the trial. She went as far as to issue the ultimatum, “Don’t you ever bring that woman into my house.'”
But when Shellie realized Zuazo was with her husband, shit hit the fan.
It was this final act of betrayal that prompted her to file for divorce.
It put paid to any hopes that this was a passing phase or that the marriage could be saved.
Mr Donnelly said: “Shellie is a wonderful person. She’s still young. She can get on with her life. We’re here to support her in any way she needs. But I don’t know where George’s head is.”
Not much else is known about Zimmerman and Zuazo’s love affair, but she might want to get away before the past repeats itself.
