M.I.A. has been living up to her namesake when it comes to showing face in the media lately. That was until she decided to make a rare appearance in Paris for the final week of fashion month and the most prestigious of them all: Paris Fashion Week.

The songstress was spotted on her way into Balenciaga’s show dressed for rain that apparently never came, in her high-end bright colored aesthetic that we have all grown to know and love. But it wasn’t until she got inside the show and perched in her front row seat, that she was ready to spill the news. M.I.A. is collaborating with Versace on a collection due out in just two weeks.

WWD reports:

At the Balenciaga show, M.I.A. let slip she has a new fashion project. “I have a collaboration with Versace coming out in two weeks,” the English-Sri Lankan recording artist said from under her glossy black hoodie. Although she was mum on details, it is understood the project is for Donatella Versace’s second line Versus, which is to invite a range of designers and other creative types to interpret the brand. The first was London designer J.W. Anderson.

And M.I.A. won’t be missing in action anymore. Her album Matangi is set to drop on November 5th, so we’re sure we’ll be seeing a lot more of her colorful personality in the near future.
