Miley Cyrus is arguable the face of 2013 as far as pop culture goes.

After having one of the most controversial years ever, but also most talked about, the former Disney star has certainly made her mark in history.

It’s only proper that she be the one to close out 2013, which is exactly what happened last night when she performed in the middle of Times Square right before the ball dropped.

Taking the stage for Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve show, Miley performed two songs which really got the crowd hyped up for the new year.

She sang her heart out to “Wrecking Ball”, and got the audience dancing for “Get It Right”, where she busted some moves of her own on one of her dancers pretty provocatively!

Despite her sexy dance moves, Miley’s outfit couldn’t be too talked about in the headlines as she covered up more than usual.

Wearing a crop top, pants, and an oversized fur coat, Miley just couldn’t fight the cold weather to wear a more exposing outfit. She told Ryan Seacrest:

‘This is the most clothes I’ve been in in 2013. Because of the cold weather and standards and practices, this is what we came up with.’

The jaw dropper did admit she was a bit nervous:

‘I’m a little nervous tonight, I can’t believe a billion people are going to watch this, this is a big moment for me.’

But we’re sure Miley was over it by the time she hit the stage, much like her VMA performance which she says was the biggest moment of her year.

‘The biggest moment for me was the VMAs, it was the beginning of a chapter for me.’

Check out a preview of Miley’s performance in the video above!
