Could you imagine performing karaoke with Beyonce and Kelly Rowland? Well, for a group of lucky young women, it actually happened.
Beyonce, Jay Z, Kelly Rowland, and friends decided to have a fun night of karaoke while down in Miami this week. Music’s most influential couple and a small motorcade of friends stopped by Miami’s Sing Sing Karaoke Bar around midnight for an impromptu karaoke session.
At the time Bey and Jay showed up, only two out of the 17 karaoke rooms were occupied.
“A big security-looking guy walked in and asked us what time we closed,” said Sing Sing owner Kellie Pilicer. “I’m thinking he’s going to come in with maybe a couple of other people and then all of a sudden a couple of people wearing hoodies do start trickling in and one woman comes up and asks me where the bathroom is and I look up and it’s freaking Beyonce.”
Jay Z was shown to the VIP room and the rest of the group followed behind him. They were friendly, dressed casually, and didn’t make any extravagant requests or demands, Pilicer says. Their only request was that they put tape over the security cameras that were installed in the room. They ordered sake, water, and french fries from the joint next door.
Before heading into their VIP room, Beyonce and Kelly decided to crash a room filled with women who had been singing karaoke and drinking Long Islands for a little over six hours. Coincidently, when Beyonce and Kelly walked into the room, the women were singing the 32-year-old singer’s smash hit “Party.”
Surprisingly, the women didn’t immediately recognize Beyonce or Kelly Rowland in their casual streetwear. Soon enough, one of the girls said, “‘Oh, you look like Kelly Rowland” and then she looked at Beyonce and yelled, “Oh my god!”
Beyonce and Kelly even photobombed one of the young women who was passed out drunk on the couch.
Unfortunately, the other two ladies never woke up their drunk friend to inform her that ‘Yonce was all in her mouth like liquor. Obviously, she has horrible friends.
What started out as a regular night of karaoke, quickly turned into an epic night to remember.
