You better recognize! Kevin Hart and Ice Cube‘s Ride Along broke all January records over the weekend, pulling in around $48 million in four days – the most ever for a MLK Weekend opening.
The film debuted at number one, with an under-performing Devil’s Due and Jack Ryan not even breaking the top 3. Kevin sent a grateful thank you to his fans via Twitter and Instagram, saying:

Lastly, premium cable channels like HBO and Showtime are taking a beating to streaming television services like Netflix, Amazon Prime and Hulu, so much so, that cable now only leads by 5 percent.
The study, measuring subscription counts between August 2012 and 2013, saw households with premium cable subscriptions in the U.S. fall 6 percent over the course of the year. “As Streaming Video On Demand, services have gained momentum, it’s clear that some consumers are trimming their premium-TV subscriptions,” said NPD’s SVP of industry analysis Russ Crupnick.
