It looks like there might be another case of possible police brutality.

Tampa Police Office Scott Van Treese has appeared to have gone overboard in a security video that has hit the net, where he is seen dragging a woman on the floor.

Filmed outside of the station, Treese was trying to get the woman to go inside so she could be booked but the woman resisted.

As he was tried to restrain her, he took things to a whole other level when he picked her up by her arms and began dragging her towards the entrance.

She attempts  to get on her feet, but is unable to do so through the position Treese put her in.

The Huffington Post reports:

“An internal affairs investigation reprimanded Van Treese for the incident, but mandated no further disciplinary action.

Bay News 9 reports that the officer ‘should have used better judgment in managing the uncooperative defendant by gaining the assistance of booking deputies,’ the investigation explained.

In addition, ‘The department is changing its policy on how to transport a passively resistant defendant such as someone refusing to walk. Officers are now required to use a two person technique,’ police spokeswoman Laura McElroy said, according to The Tampa Tribune.”

Hopefully this officer is taught a lesson and strays away from using excessive force in the future.
