It’s the cutest battle of the year.

A few months ago, we learned of Andrew Jacob Cervantez, a baby born at 15 pounds in Northern California and deemed the biggest baby in the state. Now, a family from the Bay Area is claiming that their adorable boy should own the title.

According to the Huffington Post, Sosefina Tagulu delivered her son Sammisano Joshua Talai Otuhiva in August. Sammisano weighed an astonishing 16 pounds, therefore giving him the title of the biggest baby in the state. Doctors predicted that little-big Sammie may have weighed more if she didn’t deliver early.

Sammisano isn’t the first large baby in his family either. Though his sister was a typical 8 pounds and 9 ounces at birth, his brothers were 12 pounds, 4 ounces and 11 pounds, 1 ounce. Incredibly, Sammisano even arrived early.

“The doctor said he might have weighed 18 pounds if he had arrived on the due date,” Tagulu told HuffPost.

Tagulu was surprised, but she says it makes sense because of the boy’s genes. Sammie’s mom is Samoan and his father, Pavasio Otuhiva, is Congan. The family says they face unique challenges everyday with their son:

“Not a single one,” said Tagulu. “Not the three months, not the six months — I had to start him in 12 months clothing the day he was born. I had to return to work three weeks early to cover the extra cost of food and diapers.”

Best of luck to Sammie and his family.
