Weezy fans, brace yourselves!
After taking a break from his solo music carer for a little while, Lil’ Wayne is ready to come back into the game strong with his upcoming album Carter V.
Drake was the one who revealed the 5th follow up to his Carter album series was in the process of being recorded, but we finally got an answer as to its actual release date.
Last night, Drizzy brought out Weezy during his concert at the House of Blues in New Orleans for NBA All-Star Weekend, where the crowd first heard that May 5th would be the official release date for Carter V.

Karen Civil also gave some more details on the album-making process:
Drake announced Carter V is dropping May 5th! When we spoke yesterday he mentioned they were 6/8 songs in already.

While we bite our fingernails with anticipation for its release, Birdman is killing time by throwing himself a lavish party that will cost $500,000!
According to TMZ, the Cash Money President is renting out a huge New Orleans venue for his 45th birthday this weekend, which will be filled to capacity with models, alcohol, and all of his cars!
The site reports:
The party’s set to go down in New Orleans Saturday night — in the middle of NBA All-Star Weekend. Birdman rented out a private venue … which he’s renamed “Birdman’s New Era Voodoo Lounge.”
In addition to 30 body-painted naked models, 700 clothed models will be on hand — lubricated by 150 cases of GT vodka, $100,000 of Belaire Rosé, and 20 cases of some anti-hangover cocktail.
Birdman’s shipping in his $7 million car collection from Miami … including his red Bugatti, white Bugatti, 2 Maybachs, and 3 tour buses.
The guest list is sick — party host JJ Jones tells us, James Harden, Paul George, Blake Griffin, Shaq, and Kenny Smith are coming … as well as Young Money rappers Lil Wayne, Drake, Nicki Minaj, and more.
Long-time Cash Money fans also might be excited to know that some of the original crew members are reuniting for the event which includes Mannie Fresh, Turk, and Juvenile!
