Can we just cancel the Oscars and give Lupita Nyong’o all the awards?
Since the start of award season, we’ve been anxiously waiting to see what the 12 Years a Slave actress will wear to the Oscars, and we finally have our answer.
For the 86th Annual Academy Awards, Lupita swept us away in a custom Prada gown. Making her look like a real belle of the ball, the Cinderella-esque dress is in a light blue color that she said reminded her of her home Nairobi and features a plunging neckline and train.
The face of Miu Miu sparkled in a Gold and Diamond Headband and a pair of Gold and Rose-cut Diamond Spiked Crescent Earrings by Fred Leighton. She also chose a delicate 19th Century Gold and Diamond Snake Bracelet to complement her exquisite light blue Prada gown.
To finish her look, she wore an antique Pearl and Diamond Ring, Opal Ring, a 1960’s Gold and Turquoise ring and a Yellow Gold Frog Ring and a matching mani that she shared a sneak peek of on her Instagram earlier today:
