Our hearts still go out to Lea Michele after her boyfriend Cory Monteith passed away from overdosing on drugs last year.

In the months to come, The Glee star has been making a graceful effort to heal from the tragedy, and her new album Louder gave her the ability to do that.

She recently opened up to Billboard about a song on the album, called “If You Say So”, that’s a tribute to her late boyfriend. Apparently, it was not easy to write, let alone sing!

She opened up about the song:

“Listening to it, it’s therapeutic and difficult. It will always represent the most devastating thing that’s every happened to me in my whole life. But at the same time, music is therapy. It’s been therapy for me in the entire grieving process and in my entire life. I’m grateful that Sia collaborated on that song with me and it’s a moment in my life … music has just been so important and so helpful to me this whole year,”

We’re glad Lea is using her talent to help her cope. We wish the best for her!
