Happy International Day of Happiness!

Pharrell and the General Assembly of the United Nations have joined forces for the second annual International Day of Happiness recognizing “the relevance of happiness and well-being as universal goals and aspirations in the lives of human beings around the world and the importance of their recognition in public policy objectives.”

There is literally no one better to be the face of this day other than the “Happy” man himself. Pharrell’s latest hit about feeling pure bliss has been dominating the charts, earned him an Oscar nod, and led him to create some happy t-shirts. But this isn’t the first time a Skateboard P track has created jubilance in our hearts as soon it comes on. From the ’90s until now, Pharrell continues to leave us full of glee when he releases his own tracks, or adds his spark to someone else’s.

Check out our list of 10 Pharrell songs that make you happy – aside from “Happy.”

1.) “Frontin” featuring Jay-Z

Pharrell’s first single ever was this masterpiece featuring the G.O.A.T.: Hov. Aside from featuring two of the world’s greatest artists, the song itself is so smooth, you can still rock it with ease today, 11 years after its release. You can even peep Pharrell spitting game to Lauren London and Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta‘s MiMi Faust in the video.

2.) “Beautiful” – Snoop Dogg featuring Pharrell & Charlie Wilson

Now what’s going to make a woman happier than hearing Pharrell’s fine self and a romantic (but still O.G.) Snoop tell her she’s beautiful and she’s his favorite girl?

3.) “The World Is Ours” – Rick Ross featuring Pharrell & Meek Mill

When you work hard and finally feel like you’re on top of the world, no one can take that happiness away from you. Nonstop dedication and motivation will get you where you want to be, and that’s exactly what these three are letting you know on this Rich Forever track.

4.) “Number One” featuring Kanye West

Skateboard P and the Louis Vuitton Don teamed up in 2006 for this track about the perfect girl who’s akin something they are both very familiar with musically — a “number one, smash hit, off the charts, classic.” Both have now found their number one women and one can only assume they used lines like the ones in this song to get them.

5.) “Blurred Lines” – Robin Thicke featuring Pharrell & T.I.

2013’s biggest song was this ode to ultimate feel-good music. The “barbecue song” of our generation will have you dancing like T.I. does in the video every time you hear it. The song has basically made the entire world happy, topping the charts in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Ireland, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, and the United Kingdom, as well as the top ten in Belgium, Denmark, Lithuania, France, Iceland, Italy, Portugal and Switzerland. In the United States, the song topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart for twelve consecutive weeks, becoming the longest running number one single of 2013 and of the decade so far, surpassing Rihanna‘s “We Found Love.”

6.) “Wanna Love You Girl” – Robin Thicke & Pharrell

Robin and Pharrell know how to make some happy music together. The video had beauties from Trinidad, the Dominican Republic, and Mexico. And we can’t really ask for more eye candy than Robin and Pharrell themselves.

7.) “Get Lucky” – Daft Punk & Pharrell

Pharrell said this modern-day disco/funk track was “about the fortune of connecting with someone, as well as sexual chemistry,” and what’s going to make someone happier than getting lucky?

8.) “Angel”

“Angel” has Pharrell gushing about a woman who “got an ass like a loaf of bread, you want a slice.” If Pharrell told any of us women that, we’d clearly be some angels on cloud 9.

9.) “Drop It Like It’s Hot” – Snoop Dogg & Pharrell

Once you hear the drawn-out “Snooooooop” and those tongue clicks, you know one of the hottest tracks ever is about to implode in your ears. This is Snoop’s first ever #1 song on the Billboard Hot 100 and was Pharrell’s biggest hit until “Get Lucky,” “Blurred Lines,” and “Happy.” Statistics aside, “Drop It Like It’s Hot” will make you happy just because it is so damn good and has great daily life advice, such as, “when the pigs try to get at you, park it like it’s hot. And if a nigga get an attitude, pop it like it’s hot.”

10.) “Excuse Me Miss” – Jay Z & Pharrell

Jay Z + Pharrell + Notorious B.I.G. + Luther Vandross = a song that has to exude pure bliss. The longtime friends sampled the rap and R&B kings in the 2003 hit that became one of Hov’s first ever romantic songs. Pharrell’s falsetto on the hook is what will have you at the highest level of contentedness.
