Hot 97 is on the come up.
The popular New York-based radio station is moving from the airwaves to the big screen.
Funkmaster Flex, Angie Martinez, Peter Rosenberg, Cipha Sounds, DJ Enuff, Miss Info, Laura Stylez, Karlie Hustle and Ebro will star in the VH1 reality series This Is Hot 97, giving us a behind the scenes look of what goes on at the iconic radio station.
Cast members Peter Rosenberg, Cipha Sounds, Ebro, and Laura Styles sat down with our own BlogXilla to discuss everything from dusty New York radio personalities to … boobs.
Ebro, the station’s Program Director, also revealed how the reality show came about:
“They’ve been wanting to bring cameras and make a show about our radio station for many years. Mona [Scott Young] started having all of her success, then we decided…we’re cool, we just don’t want to do the same thing as everyone else.”
