Kanye postponed his tour to finish up his forthcoming album, and according to his new G.O.O.D Music signee Evian Christ, Yeezy’s album sounds like an Otis Redding and Mobb Deep mashup.

In a recent interview with Self-Titled Magazine, Evian dished about Ye’s Yeezus follow-up.

“He wants something that sounds a bit like Otis Redding, a bit like Mobb Deep … Kanye is the one dude who’s like, ‘This is not experimental enough. This is too poppy. Make something else.’ The other guys are like, ‘We don’t get it.'”

Evian also talked about how Kanye gives his artists complete creative control, but pushes them to think outside of the box stating:

“No one else gives you that level of creative freedom. When he wants you to work to a blueprint, the blueprint is: ‘Don’t make a rap beat. Anything but a rap beat.’”

Kanye’s forthcoming album is rumored to only feature eight tracks. There’s still no word on when Kanye will release his new album, but #STAYWOKE.
