Last night at the CFDA Awards, where she was rightfully honored with the 2014 Fashion Icon Award, Rihanna shined bright like a diamond. A beautiful butt-naked diamond. Prompting us to ask one very important question: When will your fave?
The answer? Your. Fave. Could. NEVER. Because seriously. Who else could POSSIBLY pull off baring her breasts and butt this damn elegantly? We’ll wait.
The Bad Gal absolutely slayed in an Adam Selman creation, who told Style.com that he wanted to make it “a little bit scandalous” (mission accomplished), and described his design as “just fishnet and crystals and a couple of fingers crossed.” The dress is covered in more than 230,000 Swarovski crystals. And underneath it, Ri wore nothing at all–besides her nipple rings and a nude thong. Because why the fuck not?
The gown was styled with a pink fur stole and a matching Swarovski do-rag–which was all RiRi’s idea, by the way.
“Even as a child I remember thinking, ‘She can beat me, but she cannot beat my outfit,’ she said during her acceptance speech. “And to this day I mean, that is how I think about it.”
All eyes were on Rihanna last night, so much so that we almost forgot she wasn’t the only girl in the world in attendance: Lupita Nyong’o, Solange and Jennifer Hudson are among the few who made an appearance, buuuut we were too distracted by the Bajan beauty to notice.
