What was supposed to be a normal visit to KFC, ended up becoming a shameful moment for the popular fast food restaurant. Three-year-old Victoria Wilcher was escorted out by KFC employees because her face “scared other diners.” Victoria’s family was disgusted after being told to vacate the vicinity because of the little girl’s appearance. The family shared their anger on a Facebook page titled Victoria’s Victories.

Along with the above photo, the family wrote:

“Does this face look scary to you? Last week at KFC in Jackson MS this precious face was asked to leave because her face scared the other diners.’

The horrifying event that left Victoria injured took place in her grandfather’s home, where his dogs dragged the little girl through the back of the house and jumped on her. The dogs continued to maul her and her grandfather, Donald Mullins, attempted stop them but the dogs took charge and attacked their owner, causing Mullins to kill them. Mullins, along with his girlfriend Rita Tompkins, were both arrested on child endangerment charges.

Victoria was left with a shattered jaw, broken cheekbones and eye-sockets, and a broken nose. According to the first photo, Victoria lost her right eye and eventually lost all ability to move the right side of her face. She remained in the hospital for nearly a month after the attack took place. After her release, she has continued with physical therapy and wearing a feeding tube.

Her grandmother, Kelly Mullins, spoke with WAPT about the incident.

I took her to the doctor and I went to KFC. I ordered a large sweet tea and her some mashed potatoes and gravy because she was hungry. She was on a feeding tube at the time, but I figured she could just swallow (the potatoes). They just told us, they said, ‘We have to ask you to leave because her face is disrupting our customers.

Victoria understood exactly what they said. Mullins said she put Victoria in the car and left. She said Victoria cried all the way home to Simpson County.

No matter what’s wrong with a person, if a person’s different, if a person’s scarred, or is a different color or anything, people shouldn’t be discriminated against. Her being 3 years old and already being discriminated against, it makes me mad, because I know for the rest of her life it’s going to be like that.

KFC heard of the  incident and sent an email to WAPT  News.

KFC launched an investigation as soon as we were made aware of this report. We take this very seriously, as we have zero tolerance for any kind of hurtful or disrespectful actions toward our guests. Our investigation is ongoing, but we have been in touch with the family and are committed to doing something appropriate for this beautiful little girl and her family. We will also work with the franchisee to take appropriate action at the restaurant once the specifics of the incident are determined. – KFC spokesman Rick Maynard

Her grandmother states that Victoria is still on antibiotics and has more surgeries ahead of her.

She surprised us. I think she surprised everybody. She’s a fighter,

We pray for little Victoria!
