Def Jam singer/songwriter Jhene Aiko’s debut album has a release date.
Souled Out will hit store shelves on August 25. A little over a month ago, Jhene released her Cocaine 80s-produced track “To Love & Die.”
In a recent interview with Rap-Up, Jhene spilled the beans about Souled Out.
“I did the album and it just shaped up to be all me. I just didn’t leave room for anybody just because I have a lot to say. I just wrote the songs from top to bottom.”
Souled Out arrives nine months after Jhene released her acclaimed Sail Out EP. Jhene is also set to appear on Chicago emcee Common’s forthcoming album, Nobody’s Smiling, which drops July 22.
