President Obama is being a bit more blunt than most Presidents as he recently admitted in a press conference that the U.S. tortured prisoners after the 9/11 attacks. He told the press, “We did a whole lot of things that were right. But we tortured some folks. We did some things that were contrary to our values.” He also explained that he believes the country’s techniques “crossed a line,” and that we should “take responsibilty for that.” [Gawker]

Columbus Short is getting himself in hot water again after he made an appearance at an event in Barbados, where he revealed to the crowd that he’s moving there for good. The former Scandal actor is planning to move to the country but has 4 misdemeanor cases against him and an active arrest warrant against him for being a no-show in court. [TMZ]

Two American aid workers, who received the Ebola virus while in Liberia, are being flown to the U.S. and treated in isolation in Atlanta. According to officials, Dr. Kent Brantly and missionary Nancy Writebol both receieved the virus, but the plane transporting them in isolation only has room for one at a time. Officials want to assure the America people that “Ebola is not a huge risk in the U.S.” [The Globe And Mail]

After a tragic turn of events occurred at a Keith Urban concert las week, the singer is finally breaking his silence. The country star learned that not only were there issues with alcohol and people being hospitalized, but a 17-year-old girl was allegedly raped by an 18-year-old guy. Keith wrote on his website in a personal note, “My team and I were horrified to learn of the events reported in Boston this past weekend and our hearts and prayers go out to all those affected. This type of behavior stands in stark contrast to the spirit of our shows.” [ET Online]

The House of Representatives has just passed a bill that will crack down on Central American migrants and increase the borders security. According to reports, the bill will also apply to unaccompanied children, and the bill is around $694 million. The vote came out to 223-189 on Friday, and the Republican-led House ignored a veto threat from the White House [Reuters]
