Who run the world?
For the November issue of ELLE magazine, Zoe Saldana is one of three leading ladies on the cover of their Women in Hollywood edition. Her baby bump is covered in a fun Lanvin frock, but inside, she might be ruffling a few feathers in her interview where she addresses playing Nina Simone in the upcoming biopic.
After she was casted, the mommy-to-be faced a lot of criticism, and she admits to being reluctant to take the role, revealing:
“I actually encouraged Cynthia to cast someone else. But she came to me and said that everybody was afraid, and I thought, ‘Shit, then how can we complain that there aren’t enough films about African-American iconic figures?’
